Warriors tie Bandits Orange
The Stratford Nes-Tech Warriors tied league leading London Bandits Orange 5 – 5 in Alliance MD West action on Tuesday night at the RBC.
The Warriors enjoyed their biggest offensive output of the early season, led by the line of Tyler Guy, Matthew Whitemore and Tyler Gould as the trio continually had the Bandits defence on their heels. Guys hard work was rewarded with a couple of pretty goals and an assist, while Gould chipped in with a goal and Whitemore added an assist. Connor Hill got Stratford on the board in the first with a shot from the top of the circle that beat the Bandits goalie over the glove just under the bar. Scott Thornton scored in the second on a solid individual effort, while Ezra Lee was solid between the pipes, turning aside 17 shots to preserve the tie. Next action for Stratford is Saturday evening when they travel to London to once again face the Bandits Orange.
