The Stratford Nes-Tech Warriors battled rival Sarnia Sting on Sunday and came out on the losing end of a 4-2 score. .
Stratford goalie Ezra Lee made several great saves throughout the game to give the Warriors a chance to win, aided by solid defensive play by Riley Mathieson, Keegan McArthur and Brady Roth. Stratford penalty killers managed to outscore the Sting powerplay with Connor Hill and Scotty Thornton both scoring shorthanded goals on outstanding solo efforts. The score was in doubt right up until the last minute when Sarnia potted an empty net goal. The loss dropped Stratford 8 points behind the Sting in the race for the playoffs. Next action for Stratford is Tuesday night at 6:30pm when they play host to London at the Molson arena
