The Stratford Best Western – The Parlour Warriors finished off their 2013/14 regular season, with a 7-5 win over the league leading Sarnia Junior Sting in Peewee MD Alliance West action Wednesday night in Sarnia.
Things looked bleak for the Warriors, who were behind 2-0 five minutes into the game, but a pair of first period goals by Ryan Lott drew Stratford even after one period of play. Ethan Reid scored a pair of second period goals, and Jake Emerson had one, to give the Warriors a 5-4 lead after two, a lead they never relinquished.
Marcus Nicholson and Caelen Eveleigh rounded out the scoring for the Warriors who finish with a 13-9-3 record and snapped an 11 game win streak by Sarnia. Josh Smith had two assists with single helpers going to Blake Strickland, Andrew Ivey, Lott, Nicholson, Eveleigh and Reid.
Stratford begins their 10 game round robin playdown Monday, February 10 in London against the Bandits.
