Major Bantams Suffer a Loss and Earn a Tie
The Stratford Canadian Tire Major Bantams finished up the 2013 portion of their schedule with a pair of home games.

Last Sunday, the visiting Brantford 99ers jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead before a goal from Devon Carter, with assists from Carson Dunseith and Ewen Flanagan cut the lead in half.  However, that was the only shot to beat the Brantford net minder and the 99ers tacked on 4 more for a 6-1 win.  On Friday night, the Tiremen played host to the top team in their division, the Sarnia Sting and again the home team found themselves quickly behind as the visitors staked themselves to an early 2–0 lead.  Stratford again fought back to find the back of the net with a second period marker off the stick of Devon Carter, assisted by Carson Dunseith and Jacob McPherson.  Stratford continued working hard at both ends of the ice throughout the remainder of the game and were finally rewarded with the tying goal late in the 3rd period.  Off a pass from Dillon Weinheimer, Nathan Ferguson drove hard to the net from the corner and put a shot past the Sting goalie, making the final 2-2.  The Bantams are now off until the Annual Stratford Silverstick tournament.
