The Stratford Holloway Automotive Minor Atom Rep Warriors split a pair of weekend games in Alliance Seeded action on the weekend.
On Saturday, the Warriors traveled to London to face the London Jr. Mustangs White team. The Warriors scored the first goal of the game on the powerplay in the opening period and added another powerplay goal and shorthanded in the third period to make the final 3-0. A solid team defensive game and a tremendous game in goal from Noah Campbell all contributed to the shutout.
On Sunday, the Warriors welcomed the Burlington Bulldogs Red team to the Allman arena for an afternoon contest. After a scoreless first period, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead by the midway point of the second period. The Warriors responded with a late second period goal and another early in the third to cut the Bulldog lead to 3-2. From there, the officials paraded the Warriors players to the penalty box one after the other and the Bulldogs took full advantage scoring 2 more powerplay goals and another just after a Warrior penalty had expired to make the final 6-2 for Burlington. Goalie Liam Parsons turned in a very solid game in the net, facing a total of 41 shots with a goal-saving assist on a shot in the first from Thomas Sheldon who slid across the slot to stop a sure Bulldog goal.
