Weekend Round-Up
The Stratford Holloway Automotive Minor Atom rep team played two Alliance Constellation 'AA' games this weekend vs the Burlington Bulldogs Red on Saturday and the London Jr. Knights Green on Sunday afternoon.

On Saturday vs the Bulldogs, the Warriors spotted the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead halfway through the first period. The Warriors battled back to tie the score at 2-2 by the end of the opening frame. The teams continued to exchange goals in the second and third period. Late in the game, the Bulldogs held a 4-3 lead and the Warriors pulled their goalie for the extra attacker and peppered several good scoring opportunities at the Bulldogs goalie. With 0:02 left in the game and the draw to the Bulldogs goalie right side, the Warriors attempted a set play from the draw and were able to tie the game at 4-4 as the final buzzer sounded.

On Sunday vs the Jr. Knights Green, the Warriors held leads of 1-0 and 2-1 but found themselves trailing 3-2 in the final minutes of the game. With their goalie pulled for the second consecutive game, the Warriors were hoping for last second heroics again. However, this time, the opposition were able to keep the Warriors from getting into the attacking zone and held on, defeating the Warriors 3-2.

The line of Cole Meadows, Kaden Brame, and Avery Thurston played two strong games along the offensive boards, creating many scoring chances and frustrating the opposition with their forecheck and cycle. Goalies Noah Campbell and Liam Parsons turned in solid games between the pipes, with Parsons stopping two Jr. Knights players on breakaways on Sunday. Ryan Middegaal and Thomas Sheldon turned in solid defensive efforts against the Bulldogs on Saturday, both clearing the puck from their slot to foil the Bulldog forwards.
