Congratulations to our Pee Wee Reps for Winning 2nd Place at the Guelph Power Play Tournament!!!!!
The Stratford Scotia Bank Peewee Warriors emptied the tank against Woodstock in the final game on Sunday to earn a 2nd place finish at the Guelph Powerplay tournament.

The Warriors would get out to a 3-0 lead early on goals by Ben Wyatt, Cohen LeSouder and Adam Windsor. The Warriors held the lead into the third period on the strength of their defence and goalie Ryan Bell. Tournament favourite Woodstock would slowly chip away at the Warrior lead tying the game late and going on to win 5-3.

Stratford opened the tournament with going 1-0-1 on Friday with a 1-1 tie against Richmond Hill and a 4-0 victory over host Guelph. Adam Monteith tallied the lone goal against Richmond Hill while Windsor led the way with 2 goals against Guelph. Noah Rusen-Steele and Jared LeSouder notched singles. Alex Cassone and Bryce Lee had strong games defensively on the first day.

Stratford opened on Saturday with a 6-0 win over Hespeler. Jared LeSouder, Windsor, Eric Gettler, Rusen-Steele, Cohen LeSouder and Wyatt accounted for the Warriors goals while Tyler Pogson and Callum McMann were strong defensively.

Stratford finished pool play with a 5-3 loss to Woodstock. In a game that saw end to end play with plenty of opportunities Windsor, Riley Mathieson and Jared LeSouder found the back of the net. Kayden Eybergen and Ray Horan were exceptional on the forecheck.

Stratford opened playoff action with a solid 5-2 victory in a repeat match with Richmond Hill. Horan, Cohen LeSouder, Gettler, Wyatt and Windsor were the Stratford goal scorers while the efforts of Eybergen as a defensive forward were exceptional. Ryan Bell saw plenty of action throughout the weekend as the lone Warrior goalie maintaining a strong effort making several key saves giving his team a chance to compete at a high level.
