The Stratford Scotia Bank Major Peewees opened their playoff campaign with a convincing 5-0 win over Sarnia in game one on Thursday night in Stratford.
Carson Knott earned with shutout with several saves early to keep the Warriors in the game. Kayden Eybergen opened the scoring in the first. Jared LeSouder would pad Stratford's lead scoring the next two Warrior goals. Adam Monteith would cash in on a set play off a defensive zone face off and Ben Wyatt rounded out the scoring with an empty net goal. Riley Mathieson was strong on the forecheck while while Noah Rusen-Steele and Cohen LeSouder generated several scoring opportunities with great puck pursuit. The Warriors will travel to Sarnia on Saturday for game 2.
