Peewee Warriors take 2-1 series lead!
After spotting Brantford a 1 game lead with a 5-1 loss on Thursday the Stratford Scotia Bank Peewee Warriors stormed back with 2 wins over the weekend to take the lead in the semi-final.
Noah Rusen-Steele would get the lone Warrior goal in the series opener. Stratford would ride the shutout of Carson Knott in a closely contested 2-0 win on Saturday in Stratford. Bryce Lee opened the scoring on the powerplay while Adam Windsor put the game away with a goal late in the third. That is all that Knott and the Warriors would need to even the series at one game apiece. Stratford would follow their home win with a strong effort on the road posting a 5-2 win in Brantford. The Warriors dominated the opening two periods getting out to a 5-0 lead. Riley Mathieson opened the game with 2 goals while Adam Montieth, Jared LeSouder, Ray Horan would round out the scoring. Brantford managed two late goals but the lead was insurmountable by that point. Stratford carries a 2 point heading into game 4 at The Allman on Wednesday.
