Hawkins, Duncan lead Warriors
Three unanswered second period goals proved to be the difference as the Stratford Cherrey Bus Lines Warriors up ended the London Jr. Mustangs 4-0 in Minor Bantam Alliance West play, Monday night at the Allman Arena.
Everett Hawkins, Joel DenOtter and Carter Lewis led the way offensively for Stratford, with Hawkins picking up two goals, Lewis two assists and DenOtter one goal and one assist. Brett Maguire also picked up an assist on Hawkins second goal, while Kolton Debus rounded out Warrior scoring. Hayden Arms picked up the assist on the Debus goal.
The Stratford defence of Mac Starkebaum, Brendan Moorehead, Connor Otto, Trent Zorgdrager, Kobe Robinson and Maguire was solid in front of netminder Quinton Duncan, who played well in earning the shutout.
