Five Game Win Streak
The Stratford Cherrey Bus Lines Minor Bantam Warriors extended their winning streak to five, with a pair of 2-1 wins over the weekend. Stratford travelled to St. Thomas Friday night, downing the Stars and then returned home Saturday afternoon to beat the Kitchener Rangers.

In St. Thomas, the Warriors ran into some hot goaltending, but managed to score just enough to pull out the win. Brett Maguire opened Stratford scoring with a point shot on the power play, with Carter Lewis and Hayden Arms picking up assists. The game remained tied till the 5:18 mark of the third, when Lewis took a centering pass from Dylan Hall and made no mistake in burying the winner. Kobe Robinson also assisted on the goal.

Back home, Lewis and Maguire struck once again, as Stratford downed the Kitchener Rangers 2-1. Maguire again took a shot from the point which Lewis redirected to the top corner, opening Warrior scoring in the game and drawing them even at one. Trent Zorgdrager also assisted on the goal. Kitchener found themselves at a two man disadvantage just 28 seconds later, and the Warrior powerplay wasted no time. Connor Otto walked in from the point and made no mistake, driving a low hard slap shot that the Ranger goaltender had no chance on . Joel DenOtter and Tyson Hall picked up assists on the goal, and Josh Smith had a key face off win for the play to develop.

Stratford will try to extend the win streak to six Monday night at the Allman, with an 8:00 p.m. tilt against the London Jr. Mustangs.
