Minor Bantams Lead Series
The Stratford Cherrey Bus Lines Warriors took a 4 points to 2 lead in their Bristol division semi final with a 2-0 win over the Kitchener Rangers Tuesday night at Dufferin Arena in Stratford.
Stratford hemmed Kitchener in their end for a good portion of the game, and finally broke through at the 12:28 mark of the second period when Carter Lewis picked up a loose puck in front of the net, and made no mistake. Hayden Arms and Brett Maguire picked up assists on the goal.
Things stayed that way till the 10:10 mark of the third, when Connor Otto blasted a low point shot that Arms redirected in, putting the Warriors up by two. Josh Smith picked up the other assist on the power play tally.
Owen Hahn was sharp when called upon in picking up the shutout.
Stratford can wrap things up in game four Saturday afternoon in Kitchener with a win. Puck drops at 4:15 at the Grand River Arena.
