Warriors beat 99ers
Written by Dave Graff.  The SMHA Scotiabank Major Peewee Rep team hosted Brantford at the Rec Centre on Saturday and a stellar team effort allowed the home side to close out the 2015 portion of the regular season with their third straight win, beating the 99ers 3-2.

Part way through the first period Carter Musselman turned a neutral zone turnover by the visitors into a two on one with line mate Zach Carman. After pulling the Brantford defenseman towards his side of the ice, Musselman slid a perfect pass to Carman who put a low shot past the 99er goalie for a 1-0 Warrior lead. The visitors came back with a nice two on one goal of their own to make the score 1-1 after a period.  Stratford scored the only goal of the second period when Carter Musselman buried a rebound off a Nathan Graff shot during a Warrior five on three advantage. Maverick Mulder also assisted on the go ahead goal.  Half way through the third period Erik Smith slid a back door pass to Josh Nixon during another Warrior power play and Nixon made no mistake sliding what turned out to be the winning goal past the visiting tender.  A few minutes later Brantford closed the gap to one, but the solid goaltending of Dailey Trainor and strong defensive and neutral zone play from Caleb Musselman and Braydon Tinning allowed the home side to close out the one goal victory.
