The Cherrey Bus Lines Minor Bantam Warriors opened their regular season with a pair of wins on the weekend.
Jacob Wiles had 4 goals and 1 assist and Ray Horan had a goal and 3 assists to lead Stratford to a 6-4 home victory over Burlington on Saturday. Jared Lesouder added a goal and 2 assists while Ben Wyatt (2) and Riley Mathieson (1) chipped in with assists. Tate Gaylor and Bryce Lee were solid on defense.
On Sunday in Kitchener, the Warriors allowed little breathing room for the Rangers Blue squad in a 4-1 victory.
Kaden Eybergan led the Warriors with 2 goals and 2 assists while Adam Monteith chipped in with 2 goals. Assists went to Cohen Lesouder, Riley Mathieson, Jacob Wiles, and Ben Wyatt. Defensemen Callan Ferguson and Callum McMann repeatedly made strong outlet passes to start the Warrior attack.
The next game action for the Warriors is Tuesday September 29th as they host the defending Alliance AA champion London Knights Green
