.500 WEEKEND LEAVES WARRIORS IN TOP SPOT

The Holloway Automotive Minor Atoms had a 1-1 record last weekend suffering their first league loss in 2 months on Saturday but rebounding with a big win on Sunday.  They still sit in first place in the AA Constellation division with a 4-1-2 overall record.

Saturday after a long bus ride to St.Thomas the young Warriors came out flat and found themselves down 3-0 after the first period. By the middle of the 3rd period they had battled back and had the game tied but an unfortunate bounce resulted in a late goal for the Stars and the warriors suffered a 4-3 loss. Davis, Martin and Cassone tallied for Stratford with assists to Mikel and Flanny.

Sunday at home the Warrior boys knew they needed to put their lackluster effort from the day before behind them and they came out with a more spirited start that led to a 5-2 victory over GLHA Purple. Scoring for Stratford was Hish with 2, Holloway, Mikel, and Bridgey. Helpers went to Cassone with 2, Brenzil, and Martin.

The boys look forward to another showdown with LJK Green this upcoming Sunday with first place bragging rights on the line.
