WARRIORS CONTINUE IMPRESSIVE ROLL
The 1st place Holloway Automotive Minor Atoms defeated 2nd place LJK Green for the second consecutive weekend adding to their lead atop the "AA" Constellation standings, where there is now a 4 point gap between Stratford and London.
The game began slowly on Saturday evening in London as the boys found themselves down 1-0 after the first. Bowlsey made some great saves to keep the game within reach and LJK Green had their own problems failing to record a shot on net during 2-two on none breaks early in the 2nd. That was all the momentum the boys needed as Cassone(2) and Hish(1) combined for 3 unanswered goals by the halfway point of the 2nd. Brenzil and White-Roy had helpers. Although the Knights would score early in the 3rd to make it 3-2, the Warriors played strong defensive hockey throughout the period highlighted in the last few minutes where they hemmed London in their own end and they were unable to pull their goalie until there was just 17 seconds left.
