Warriors battle hard in Barrie
The U14 Stratford Warriors travelled to Barrie Nov 26-28 and participated in the Peggy Hill 'A' Classic.

Game 1 Friday against Quinte West, Stratford played to a 3-0 win. Leading 2-0 after 1, the second period saw both teams trading chances but no score. In the 3rd, Stratford made it 3-0. Goals went to Cole Hishon unassisted. Timothy Kraayenbrink from Rylan DeBoeck. 3rd goal Ty Wheeler from Hishon and Kraayenbrink.  Jake Taylor was solid in net earning the shutout. 
In Game 2 Friday afternoon, the Warriors faced off against London Jr Mustangs Purple. Both teams battled to a 3-3 tie. Goals from Wheeler, Owen Hunt and Kraayenbrink late in the game to tie it up. Assists on the goals went to Casen DeGraff , Wheeler and Hishon. Ethan Walters played a solid game in net to give his team the tie.
 
Game 3 Saturday ended in a 2-0 win over Orangeville. After a back and forth scoreless first period, Hishon put us on the board in the 2nd. Hishon would get his second goal of the game in the 3rd. Assists on the goals went to Owen Bridges, DeGraff, Colton Brenzil and Wheeler. Jake Taylor was strong in net. 
Game 4 was another hard battle against Brantford, ending in a 2-2 tie. Wheeler scored early in the first from DeGraff and DeBoeck. Blake Lalande scored in the 2nd from Kraayenbrink and Bridges. Ethan Walters made big saves in net to hold his team in.
The Warriors with solid round robin play, advanced to the semi finals which meant a rematch against London. They battled hard but dropped a 4-3 loss in OT with 12 seconds left. Brenzil had a pair of goals with the single going to Hishon. Wheeler had a pair of assists with Kraayenbrink, DeBoeck, Henry Flanagan and Bridges collecting assists.

The boys managed to find time to hang out with their teammates at an OHL game where they saw the Barrie Colts take on the Niagara Ice Dogs. An exciting back and forth game saw Barrie come out on top after a period of overtime followed by a shootout. 

The Warriors have a pair of games left to play before being reseeded. Next tournament action will see the Warriors in Brantford over the Christmas break.
