The Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Atoms traveled to Cambridge on Saturday and upended the Hawks 4 – 1. It took two periods before the Stratford offense was able to get on the board in this chippy affair. Sam Davey led the way offensively with two goals with single markers coming off the sticks of Sean Chisholm and Michael Messerschmidt. Jared James picked up the win in the net and Dean Jackson chipped in with 2 assists. On Sunday the Warriors traveled to Woodstock to take on last years league and playoff champions. The outcome was a tightly played affair, highlighted by outstanding goaltending from Tyler Parr. Max Britton scored off of a nice shot and gave Stratford the lead after one. Woodstock evened the score in the second after a wild goalmouth scramble and after several saves from Parr. The teams traded chances in the third but the game ended tied at 1 each. Stratford’s strong play has earned them a position in the Atom AA division for the remainder of the season.
