Peewees Beat London North!
The Stratford Parlour Best Western MD Warriors faced the London Nationals Wednesday night in league play in Stratford.  The Warriors once again came out strong in the first period with Parker Wamboldt beating the National goalie halfway through the period and James Drake picking up the assist.  With 16 seconds remaining in the period, Mack Rankin found the back of the net to put the Warriors up by 2.  Wamboldt and Drake each earned assists on the Rankin goal.  The Nationals returned fire in the second period scoring twice.

The teams entered the third period tied and exchanged chances early in the period.  Xavier Rutherford stood strong in the Warriors net and was rewarded when James Drake tallied a goal with 8 minutes remaining.  Parker Wamboldt picked up his third point of the night with the assist.  The final score was 3-2.  With Rutherford shutting the door on the Nationals, the Warriors held on for the win.  After three years of being winless against the Nationals, the Warriors put together a solid game to finally defeat London.  This pulls the Warriors to .500 for the season and a 4-game league win streak placing the team in a tie for third.
