Playoffs continue with a loss and a tie
The Stratford Parlour BestWestern Peewee MDs continued their alliance MD playoff action against Sarnia. Sarnia proved why they are the best in the league and handed the Warriors a 9-1 loss. James Drake scored on a breakaway feed from Parker Wamboldt early in the second to make the score 2-1, but that's all the offence the boys would have. Goalie, Xavier Rutherford was the player of the game making 30 saves in the loss. Earlier in the week the Warriors played London Orange to a 3-3 tie. After going down 3-0 early in the second, Drake and Mack Rankin scored 30 seconds
apart midway through the second and the Warriors took the play to London, but a hot London goalie had other ideas. Beckett Mulder's powerplay goal late in the third tied the score, but the Warriors continued pressure wouldn't find the back of the net. Parker Wamboldt had 3 helpers and goalie Kayden Buck played very well in helping the Warriors earn a point. Matt Carman, MacCauley Ross and Ryan Carruthers played well for Stratford.
