Schoonderwoerd Stuns Sarnia as Warriors even the series
Stratford Motor Products Minor Midgets goaltender Drew Schoonderwoerd kicked out 36 of the 38 fired at him by the Sarnia Sting. The Warriors edged Sarnia 3-2 on Thursday night at home to even the quarter final series at a game each. Joe Gioia, Drew Goebel and Jack Rankin scored for the Tribe. Gioia also had two assists for a three point night, with Greg Swan, Luke Fraser and Major Bantam Josh Hill each with an assist. Stratford were outshot 38-23. Game 3 in the series is Saturday afternoon in Sarnia with game 4 back in Stratford on Sunday.
