The Stratford Royal LePage Hiller Realty Minor PeeWee Warriors defeated the Waterloo Wolves 2-1 on Friday night. Goaltender Spencer Lazarevich made several timely saves to backstop the win. Stratford trailed 1-0 with six minutes remaining in the game when Carter Lewis went bar down to tie the game. The Warriors took the lead three minutes later on a well timed tip in from Jared Searles on a slapshot from defenceman Rhys Britton who had been at the point from David Shantz. The Warriors held on with tight defensive hockey to preserve the win. Stratford players Connor Otto, Hayden Arms, Tyler Lingard and Dominic Boon played solid two way games in the victory. Stratford's next action is Saturday at 5:00 pm at the Allman Arena when they entertain the Burlington Bulldogs.
