The Stratford Royal LePage Hiller Realty Minor PeeWee Warriors battled to a 3-3 tie with the North London Nationals on Sunday night. The short staffed Warriors jumped out to a 3-0 lead but settled for the tie when North London scored with 29 seconds left in the game with the extra attacker on the ice. Trent Zorgdrager opened the scoring in the first period on a goal assisted by Connor Otto. The Warriors scored two power play goals in the second frame with David Shantz picking up the pair with Rhys Britton and Charlie Rankin picking up the helpers. Goaltender Spencer Lazarevich stood tall in net for the Warriors with the defense crew of Brendan Moorehead, Connor Otto, Griffin St. Onge and Rhys Britton playing solid defense in helping to secure the point for the Warriors
On Saturday night the Warriors skated to a 2-2 tie with the Waterloo Wolves. Stratford goalie Liam McCann played exceptional in net to preserve the tie. Everett Hawkins scored both of the Warrior goals with David Shantz assisting on the first goal and Charlie Rankin assisting on the second. The Warriors final regular season game is at the Allman Arena on Saturday at 5:00 pm.
