GAME REPORT March 16 and 17, 2013
The Cherrey Bus Lines Minor Bantam Warriors jumped out to a 2-0 series lead with a pair of wins in the Alliance final series against the Sarnia Sting on the weekend.

Stratford opened the series with a 2-1 victory at home as Dillon Weinheimer scored with 1 second left in regulation to draw first blood in the series. Joe Yundt opened the scoring early in the first on a nice rush and deke to take a 1-0 lead. Jarrett Baker and Evan Moorehead each drew an assist. Sarnia responded shortly afterwards and applied continuous pressure on the Warriors but were repeatedly denied by the hot goaltending of Jacob Ford and the game remained scoreless until the late game heroics. Dalton Smith, Yundt and Weinheimer buzzed the Sarnia net for the last minute of the game before Weinheimer's goal. Smith and Yundt drew the assists and Sarnia hopes were shattered.

Game two in Sarnia saw Yundt opening the scoring for the Warriors with a bullet shot early in the first period. The Warriors followed that up with a beautiful passing play that saw Nathan Hall convert from Smith and Clayton Lewis to take a two goal lead. A spirited Sarnia team did not fold however as they battled back strongly with a couple of goals but Michael Cossey scored what would turn out to be the winner as he redirected a Tyreese Harrison point shot to make it three goals and then Baker with an empty netter sealed Sarnia's fate with the final score 4-2. Baily Paquette again provided the Warriors with great goaltending in what has been a very hard fought series.

The series continues on Saturday in Stratford.
