Warriors Roll at home
Stratford Royal Lepage Hiller Realty Minor Peewee Warriors beat the London Bandits 7-3 on home ice Sunday afternoon.
Jared Lesouder lead the way with a dominant performance scoring four goals and adding one assist in the effort with goals also going to Aly McLeod, Kaden Eybergen and Mason Petrie. Assists went to Adam Windsor, Tyler Pogson, Mitch LaFay, Cohen Lesouder, McLeod and Josh Dowling.
Overall, the entire team played hard and smart establishing the better of the play throughout the contest resulting in three of the seven goals scored on the power play. The win gives Stratford a 3 points to 1 advantage in the series.
Alex Cassone blocked multiple shots in Tortorella-like fashion while Bryce Lee was strong along the boards in the Warrior's zone. Josh Dowling was a tower of strength in front of his net while centers Raymond Horan, Lesouder and LaFay supported their defencemen down low well the whole game. Goalie Carson Knott earned the win in goal with good positioning and timely saves.
The Warriors look forward to hosting game three at home Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm.
