Warriors Grind out Another Point in Waterloo
Stratford Royal Lepage Hiller Realty Minor Peewee Warriors completed a good week end taking a 4 points to 2 lead in the six point series Sunday evening in Waterloo with a hard fought 2-2 tie.  Their hard work has now earned them home ice advantage in this tight series.

Waterloo opened the scoring with just under four minutes to play in the first period but the Warriors struck right back when Adam Windsor took a pass from Aly McLeod down low in the Wolves zone and fired it home less than a minute later.  The game went back and forth throughout the second period and into the third without any goals until Waterloo scored with just under three minutes left in the game.

However, the Warriors struck right back again when Mitch LaFay took a feed from Callum McMann at centre, broke down the right wing and beat his man to the middle, then fired a drive low blocker to tie the game at 2 with 1:52 remaing. Then with 4 seconds to play, Ryan Bell made a huge pad save to take the game into overtime.

Despite multiple close calls around the Wolves net, Stratford was unable to seal the victory but will gladly take the precious single point.  Josh Dowling was a tower of strength on defence while Cohen Lesouder was a welcome addition returning to the line up.
