Warriors Win Final Period of the Season!
Hishons Custom Novice Tier 1 Warriors won…..

the last period of our season with a score of 2-1, although finishing with an overall 8-4 loss versus the London Nationals.  The Warriors got off to a rough start with an early 4-0 deficit against London after the first period.  The team showed their determination and persistence despite the score.  In the second period, puck battles were being won along the boards by Quinn Appel and Gabe Emms and in the neutral zone by Brett Knechtel.  Goaltender, Josh Duiker, made many awesome saves in net.  Marek Carter and Daniel Rusen-Steele carried the puck confidently into the offensive zone and hustled well.  Strong fore-checking by the line of Mark Pyzowski, Owen Gaylor and Noah Roth resulted in a scramble in front of the net with several shots taken before Pyzowski grabbed a loose puck and buried it for the Warriors first goal of the game, assisted by Roth and Gaylor.  The momentum shifted and Ryan Haines wasted no time to put another in between the pipes, with an assist to Nathan Gibb who was hustling and passing well.  Wanting to end the season on a high, the Warriors entered the third period behind 7-2, and turned up the pressure.  Isaac Nickel was aggressive on the puck and assisted on Ryan Haines’ second goal of the game, a sizzling top shelf marker.  Isaac Nickel made a sweet deke and great shot to score the Warriors final goal, unassisted.  Defensively, Eric Haynes was racing back to the puck and clearing the zone well.  Kaleb Martin was tough on the boards and in front of the net.  Jesse Merkel, in net for the third period, made many excellent saves.  The team was very pleased with their performance in the last game of the season.  They never gave up, fought hard and had the most goals in a regular season game this year.
