Warriors 1-1-1 in 3 game stretch
The Neumeister Motors Ltd. Tier II Novice team played three games in five days this past week in Alliance West playoff action. On Wednesday, the Warriors came out on the losing end 7-4 to the West London Hawks. Several defensive lapses leading to three breakaway goals by the Hawks was the difference in the game.

Stratford jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Dylan Abel with the assists to Liam Ollson and Jordan Keane. The Hawks scored three unanswered to lead 3-1 after one period of play. It was 5-1 for the opposition when Logan Hallock scored from Ollson, Tyson Cassone scored unassisted on a nice end to end rush and Sam Binns finished up the Warriors scoring with Rowan Smith drawing the assist. Defencemen Zach Schultz played a steady game at both ends of the ice and Hallock was solid up front for the Warriors. On Saturday, Sarnia was the opponent and the Warriors came away with a 9-3 win. Owen Chadwick led the way with the hat trick and an assist and linemates Ellis Schnurr with two goals and two assists and Matthew Benner a goal and an assist. Also scoring for Stratford was Zach Schultz unassisted, Logan Hallock from Liam Ollson and Rowan Smith from Sam Binns and Aaron Jones. Smith chipped in with a helper as well. Tyson Cassone was solid on defence. On Sunday the Warriors tied the North London Nationals 3-3. Brody Cowen played a great game in net staying between the pipes for the entire game. The team trailed 1-0 after the first period of play when Liam Ollson tied up the game with the assist going to Liam Eddleston. The Warriors took a 3-1 lead into the last minute of the third period on two unassisted goals by Logan Hallock. The Nationals then scored two goals in the last minute on bad bounces to steal a point. Jordan Keane and Nick Wagner put in good efforts on defence and Sam Binns was excellent up front for Stratford. The Warriors head into play this weekend with a 3-3-1 playoff record.
