Warriors Dominate Bulldogs
The Stratford Warriors Tier Two Novice Hockey Team sponsored by Neumeister Motors travelled to Burlington on Friday night to play a regular season match with the Bulldogs. The game was an even affair with both teams trading chances for the first minutes before Stratford opened the scoring and took control of the game. The Warriors went on to an 8-2 road victory and dominated the Bulldogs from that point on.

The Warriors won this game through puck control and intense pressure. Fischer McPherson was a presence at the blue line tonight. He snuffed out countless Bulldog attacks and held the line in the offensive zone to pressure the home side. John Spillane continued to improve on the blue line as he both cleared the puck from the defensive end and hemmed in the Bulldogs by holding the line. Caellum Parsons pressured Burlington from the back and got two assists. Lucas Morrison effectively broke up countless Burlington attacks and was consistently kept the puck in the Burlington end. Kadyn Adams played his first game at defence and was very effective in his debut. He also added a goal on an odd-man rush.

On offense the Warriors consistently dictated the play. Their balanced attack was on display tonight as there were six scorers. Evan Hughes had two goals and four assists. Josh Steele added a pair of his own. Ezra Wreford chipped in a goal and added an assist. Rowan Green also added a late unassisted goal. Kieran Johnson had his best day offensively with a goal and assist. Most impressive was the team work and passing plays that kept the puck in the Burlington end. Credit to Cody Duiker and Nolan Tryssenar for his persistent work in the offensive zone.

In net, Quinn Smith stopped all shots he faced in the first half of the game when the game was closer.  Davis Longston brushed back a potential Bulldogs comeback by making saves and covering the puck well.
