SOLID START TO 'AA' SEASON
The Holloway Automotive Minor Atoms ran their Alliance unbeaten streak to 9 games with a win and a tie over the weekend. They are now 6-0-3 with just 13 goals against over that stretch of games.
Saturday at the Rotary Complex the Kitchener Rangers, a team that had finished 2nd during Seeded play, was in town to face the Warrior Boys. A tight defensive game was advertised and that's exactly what we got. Stratford prevailed with a well earned 2-1 win. Andrew Davis had both tallies for the Warriors with assists to Brydgey(2) and DeBoeck. The entire squad played well defensively in front of 'tender Walters to ensure the victory.
Sunday at home with St.Thomas in town it was an entirely different matchup. The game eventually ended in a 5-5 tie after both teams had traded leads throughout. Brenzil with 2, Hish, DeBoeck and Davis scored for the Warriors with assists to Pars(2), Brenzil and Deboeck. The game was a little looser than the Coaches would have liked but made for an entertaining afternoon for the fans. Overall it was a very solid start to AA play with the Warriors collecting a well-earned 3 points over the weekend.
