Stratford Jr. Warriors 4 Kitchener Rangers (Red) 1
The Stratford Canadian Tire Jr. Warriors traveled to Kitchener to take on the host Rangers Tuesday night, and came home with a 4-1 victory in Alliance Major Bantam AA/A play. The win improves Stratford to 4-1 in the young 2017/2018 season.

Special teams once again proved to be the difference in this one, as two of the four Jr. Warriors goals were on the power play. Curtis Taylor had Stratford’s first goal of the game, set up by Maverick Mulder and Carter Musselman. Taylor was not done there, as he put Stratford ahead 2-0 with his second of the game early in the second period, this time assisted by line mates Keegan Riehl and Owen Duiker.

Patrick Holloway’s unassisted goal, on the power play, at the eleven minute mark of the second period put Stratford ahead 3-0, a lead they took to the dressing room for the second intermission. Despite a more desperate push from the Rangers in the third, goaltender Aaron Waugh nailed down the fort with some key saves, until Musselman netted an empty netter with 12 seconds remaining to seal the win. Mulder and Nathan Graff assisted on the insurance marker.
