Sarnia Jr. Sting 4 Stratford Jr. Warriors 3
Two third period goals with under seven minutes remaining,
sent the Stratford Canadian Tire Jr. Warriors to defeat in their first game of
the second half of the major bantam regular season, a 4-3 loss to the Sarnia
Jr. Sting Sunday at the Sarnia Arena.
The Jr. Warriors were led offensively by Caleb Musselman who had two goals, while Carter Musselman and Erik Smith each had a pair of assists. The other lone Stratford assist went to Maverick Mulder. Despite some point blank opportunities over the course of the game, Stratford’s inability to capitalize, combined with a lacklustre puck pursuit effort and defensive zone breakdowns, was their eventual downfall. The Jr. Warriors next action is Saturday in St. Thomas, followed by a Sunday evening home tilt against the London Jr. Mustangs (White)
