Jr. Warriors Fell Short
The Minor Pewee MD All Equip Repair & Service Jr. Warriors gave up four discouraging points this weekend against the Kitchener Rangers Red & Brantford 99ers, causing them to fall from 1st place to 3rd in the Tier 1 Playoffs.

Saturday, March 9th the Jr. Warriors faced the Kitchener Rangers Red for 5:15P.M puck drop on the Molson Pad in Stratford. The team had a very frustrating first period. The boys scrambled around the ice chasing pucks from bad bounces. The Rangers had a stronger first period that they took advantage of netting 2 goals to take the lead ending the period. The second period, the team came out a bit better and were able to match the Rangers and control more of the ice, but left the period scoreless. The third period the Minor Pewee Team looked like they were settled in on playing 'their game' and controled the ice, leaving the Rangers frustrated and picking up penalties. Early in the third the line of Dylan Abel, Logan Hallock and Lukas Steele hit the ice and worked together with solid passes to net the first goal for the Jr. Warriors. Minutes later Hallock fed a pass to Jordan Keane coming out of the penalty box, who took the breakaway to net the tying goal for the Jr. Warriors. The ending of the third there was quick end to end battles but the Jr. Warriors got caught in their end ending the period and the Rangers scored with a wrap around to take the 3-2 W.

Sunday, March 10th the Jr. Warriors travelled to Brantford to play their final playoff game. The boys came out quick out playing Brantford and utilizing the ice in the first period, but weren't able to get anything past the Brantford's hot goalie. The second period, Spencer Murphy cleared a puck up to centre to Lukas Steele who carried the puck in taking a shot with Liam Ollson netting the rebound. The third period Brantford came out with more energy netting their first and quickly after netting their second on a PK and a third shortly after that. At that point the momentum had shifted to the 99ers and the Warriors skated away with a disappointing loss dropping them from 1st place in the playoffs to 3rd.
