Missing the Christmas Pixie Dust for Goals
The Minor Pewee All Equip Repair & Service Jr. Warriors had an icy weekend on the scoreboard.
The boys fought against the Kitchener Rangers Red, Waterloo Wolves White and Kitchener Rangers Blue, Friday December 14-16th.
The boys played a tough game against the Kitchener Rangers Red, out playing and out working them but couldn't get the score board to reflex the effort put forth, ending the game with a 1-1 T. Scoring the lone goal for the Jr. Warriors was Dylan Abel, assisted by Zach Scrimgeour and Adam Jeffrey.
Facing off against one of the league leaders Waterloo Wolves White on Saturday, the boys had another solid game for the first couple periods, sticking with the team, spending a lot of time in their end, but couldn't hit the mesh until late in the third. Nick Wagner scored the lone goal of the game, unassisted, but Waterloo was able to net 3 of their own, to end the game.
Sunday, the boys went up against the Kitchener Rangers Blue, Spencer Murphy lit the scoreboard up first with a rocket backhand shot, but minutes later the Rangers responded with one of their own. The second period the boys faced a few power plays and penalty kills and had a good amount of shots but weren't able to find the back of the net, ending the game with a 1-1 T.
