#BETTEREVERYDAY - ATTITUDE, FOCUS, EFFORT
The Minor Pewee MD All Equip Repair & Service Jr. Warriors battled the Kitchener Rangers Blue for their second playoff game, Sunday afternoon.
The Rangers were quick off the draw controlling most of the first period, with the Jr. Warriors having some difficulties clearing the puck. Goaltender Brendan Sipple was put to the test facing a steady amount of shots, including a penalty shot late in the the second period. Sipple stood square between the pipes and had a great game, challenging the Rangers with each shot. Owen Chadwick put the team on the board flicking a puck over the Rangers goaltender to make it a 1-0 game (assisted by Zach Scrimgeour & Dylan Abel). The third period brought out agressive hustle from both sides of the ice. With hard back checking Scrimgeour fed Abel who found an opening past the goaltender making it a 2-0 game with 5 minutes remaining. With a couple penalties working in the Rangers favour they snuck one past with a 2:41 left in the third. With the pressure on, the Rangers attacked the Jr. Warriors with full force, taking out anything in their path. The boys fought hard and protected their lead to take the W and the lead in the playoffs.
