Atom Reps Take Win From Hawks!
Stratford Atom Major Rep Warriors, travelled to Cambridge on Saturday,
January 25,to play the Cambridge Hawks. The team is gratefully sponsored by,
Perth Auto Dismantlers. 




Early in the first period at 9:25, Caden Ollson made a swift pass to Piers Murray,
who skated right in and scored, into the right-top corner. Ty Jackson and 
Evan Hughes displayed strong passing out in the front line together.
Quinn Smith secured defence between the posts for this 
game. Ollson tossed the puck onto the Hawks goaltender’s pads and then
Murray shoved it in for the second goal of the game at a time of 3:31. 
Rowan Green stole a loose puck at center, walked in on his own and found
the top right corner of the net at 2:26 to make the score 3-0.

Jake Schultz started the second period with a nice skate, end to end, to try
and dump the puck in. Kieran Johnson was strong passing the puck and Jack
Bannon hustled at the line to keep the puck in play. Graedon Smith and Will
Pepper were digging in the opponent’s end, to pass out to his teammates. Hughes 
broke towards the net to try and score and Cam Munro kept the puck in
play. Ried Morris and Owen Blackburn shot a few from the point to try for a
point. At 5:14 Stratford wound up with a penalty putting us on the penalty 
kill. At the 49 second mark, Cambridge scored their first goal to make it 3-1.

The third period started with a quick goal by Pepper, assisted by Hughes 
and Griffin Harvey, to make the score 4-1 at 12:56. Nate Van Bakel hustled 
out in front of the hawks net, to shuffle the puck out to his teammates.
Cambridge answered back at 10:31 with their second goal. With 2:20 left in
the game, Caden Ollson backhanded a loose puck in front of the net to secure
the last goal 5-2. Stratford had a penalty at the 2 minute mark so they had to play 
defensive for the remainder of the game.

The score remained 5-2, for Stratford to bring home a win!
