Peewee Rep Warriors Keep Pushing
The ‘07 Major Peewee Rep team, sponsored by Scotiabank grabbed two points on Sunday as they look to wrap up their regular season this week.

Thursday night the Warriors travelled to London to take on the Jr. Knights Green.  Ryan McGill took charge between the pipes opening the play with a solid poke check to hold off a London sniper.  The Knights took advantage of an early power play opportunity taking a 1-0 lead, but late in the second Stratford answered back with a goal from Carter Petrie to tie it.  It wasn’t until the dying moments of the game, on another power play opportunity that London scored the go ahead goal, and an empty netter serving up a 3-1 loss for Stratford.

Saturday night the boys played host to the Waterloo Wolves.  Waterloo got on the board early, sliding one in past Zack Irvin.  Strong work on the blue line from Zack Schultz, coupled with good puck control kept Stratford in the game.  Waterloo had a brief 2-0 lead but Blair Stokes cut that in half off a feed from Nathan Siebert and Ryan McGee. Irvin stood tall in net throughout the game but unfortunately, the Wolves grabbed an empty netter to take the victory 3-1.

Superbowl Sunday saw the Warriors hit the 402 for the trek to Sarnia.  After a scoreless first period the Warriors got on the board with a goal from Carter Petrie, assisted by C.Schultz.  Closing out the second Griffin McGregor found the back of the net assisted by Rylan Hall and Ryan Gansevles. A huge glove save from McGill to open the third held off Sarnia until mid way through the third when Sarnia managed to tie the game.  Dawson White went digging hard in the offensive end and fired one out to Gansevles who gave Stratford the go ahead goal. Moments later Murphy fed a sweet one to White who gave the Warriors a 4-2 lead. Aaron Green and Austin Musselman stood tall on the blue line while C. Schultz slid one in to close out the game, assisted by McGregor.
