Written by Maureen Whitehead. The SMHA Jr Warriors Midget team hosted the Cambridge Hawks
on Wednesday night and came out with a 2-2 tie.
The first period featured great saves by both the Warriors goalie, Carson Knott, and the Cambridge tender. The Hawks scored halfway through the 2nd period but the Warriors answered with 2 goals to take the lead with under 5 minutes left in the period. Patrick Holloway scored first, assisted by Jared LeSouder. Thirty seconds later Caleb Musselman, on a breakaway, made it 2-1. With the Cambridge net empty and 44 seconds left on the clock, the Hawks tied the game and despite some great chances in the dying seconds, Stratford could not capitalize and settled for the 2-2 tie.
