Pletsch shuts out Oakridge
Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Major Bantams took sole possession of first place with a 3-0 win over Oakridge Saturday night in London. Stratford’s Chris Pletsch stopped 21 shots to record his 3 regular season shut out of the season. Andrew Bogdon opened the scoring at 6:47 of the first period with Mark Schmidt picking up an assist. Ethan Adair scored a power play goal on a pass from Drew Goebel with 2:05 left in the game to put the Warriors up 2-0. Oakridge then pulled their goalie who had already faced 35 Stratford shots in favour of another attacker. Joe Gioia picked up a giveaway pass by Oakridge to score in the empty net and give Stratford the 3-0 victory.
