Warriors Slay Wolves
The Perth Auto Dismantlers Atoms kept their slim playoff hopes alive on Sunday as they defeated the Waterloo Wolves 3-2 at home.

This was a ‘must win’ situation for the Warriors to have any hopes of advancing to the next round. The tribe was facing an uphill battle, missing three players from the roster, and not having beaten the Wolves yet this season. The teams played an even first period as they exchanged chances with no scoring. Stratford got on the board in the second period when Adam Monteith put home a rebound assisted by Mitch LaFay and Jared LeSouder. The Warriors took a two goal lead when Callan Ferguson went end to end and finished the rush going five hole on the Waterloo tender. The Wolves got one back late in the second before LaFay would regain the two goal spread firing home a wrister off of a nice feed from Tyler Pogson. Carson Knott made some key saves throughout the contest and held on for the victory. Mason Petrie and Noah Rusen-Steele had tenacious efforts up front while Cohen LeSouder and call-up Connor Hill were solid on the blue line. Despite the victory, Stratford needs a large margin win against Cambridge next Saturday, or this season will be in the books.
