Game Report January 3, 8 and 9.
Stratford's SCI Contractors Minor Bantam MD's have a great couple of wins after a lacklustre start to the year last week...

After a lacklustre performance on January 3 against the West London Hawks, Stratford’s SCI Contractors Minor Bantam MD’s bounced back with a couple of solid wins.  The Warriors suffered a 5-1 loss against the Hawks with Chase Windsor netting the team’s only goal on passes from Carson Dunseith and Chris Phillips.  Call up Sam Turner was strong on offense.  On Tuesday night the Warriors came out strong at home against the Oakridge Aeros with a 5-2 win.  Owen Brooks opened the scoring in the first minute on a pass from Sean Dolan.  Oakridge tied it up but Cole McKay intercepted a pass and scored the second goal unassisted.  Again Oakridge tied it up but the Warriors came out strong in the third period with three unanswered goals.  Peter Williams scored on the power play from Jacob Ney and Mark Van Dam after some great passing and puck control.  Chris Phillips netted one on a pass from Sean Dolan.  Again after keeping control of the puck during the power play the Warriors got their last goal from Nathan Ferguson on passes from Jacob Ney and Garrett Wells.  Jeremy Wickenheiser was a solid presence in net.

The next night the team traveled to London to face the London Bandits Black.  Owen Brooks was a force to be reckoned with scoring 3 goals to lead the team to a 5-4 win.  Liam Westman opened the scoring on passes from Chris Phillips and Carson Dunseith.  Dunseith netted the second goal with Phillips and Chase Windsor earning assists.  The rest of the goals belonged to Brooks with assists on his first goal going to Peter Williams and Garrett Wells.  Nathan Ferguson and Wells had helpers on his second and Ferguson assisted again on his third.   Megan Jesse came up big in net for the team.  Both wins were solid team efforts by all.
