North London Nationals come to town for the first game of play-downs...
Stratford’s SCI Contractors Minor Bantam MD Warriors started the first game of the playdown series on Tuesday night against the North London Nationals. The Warriors came out strong and skated with the top finishing regular season North London team for the first two periods, even taking the lead briefly in the second period. Carson Dunseith scored a short-handed goal on a nice feed from Steven Tuer. The Nationals nullified that lead in under 30 seconds and the score was even again. The game went end to end till the last seven minutes when the North London team took the lead with two more goals and won 3-1. Megan Jesse played a great game between the pipes robbing the Nationals on many scoring opportunities.
