North London defeat Warriors
Written by Dave Graff. The SMHA Perth Auto Dismantler Major Atom Rep team continued to have trouble finding the back of the opposing net on Tuesday night, losing 3-1 to North London in Alliance minor hockey action.
After taking the play to the hosts early the Warriors surrendered two last minute first period goals after some defensive zone gaffes to find themselves down a pair after one period. Down 3-0 and with the teams playing four on four, Zach Freeland finally tallied for the visitors in period three on a nice feed from Owen Duiker. Michael Tigani also assisted on the goal. Goaltender Tallyn Soper made a number of solid stops to keep the visitors within striking distance throughout the game while Freeland’s effort up front created several Warrior scoring opportunities.
