PeeWees Split 2 games
The Scotiabank Peewee Warriors  played two road games this past weekend with mixed results.

On Friday evening  the team travelled to Kitchener to face the Rangers among the sights and sounds of Oktoberfest at the Kitchener Memorial Aud.

After a scoreless opening period Zach Dow snapped home a nice feed from Carter Lewis to make it 1-0 midway through the second.   Excellent defensive play at both ends of the ice kept it a one goal game until  Jared Searles tallied with an empty net goal late in third to seal the win.  Dylan Hall and Brett Maguire drew assists. Liam McCann had another strong outing posting his second shutout of the season.

On Sunday afternoon the Warriors came up short against a talented Hamilton Huskies team.   Down 2-0 after the first, the team battled hard in the second and were rewarded with a goal midway through the period when Hayden Arms deflected a point shot from Brett Maguire to close the gap.    Stratford was able to keep it close for most of the third period before giving up two late goals, falling 5-1. Spencer Lazarevich was kept busy in all three periods, turning aside 32 shots in the loss.

A busy week of hockey continues when the Scotiabank Peewee Warriors travel to Cambridge Wednesday night before hosting Brantford for a welcome home game at the Allman on Saturday.
