Major PeeWees Split 2
On Friday night the team travelled to Kitchener to take on the Rangers.   The opening period was quiet with both teams laying back looking for opportunities.   The game took a turn in the second period with the Warriors buzzing around the Kitchener net but unable to solve the Rangers goalie.  Despite outshooting the opposition in the second,  the third period started with the Warriors down 3-0.   The teams traded scoring chances in the third and Stratford goalie Liam McCann made numerous big saves to keep the Warriors in the game.   The game ended in a 3-0 final.

On Saturday afternoon the Scotiabank Warriors were back on the bus heading to St Thomas for a game against the Stars. Despite playing the night before the Warriors came out strong, pressing the Stars for most of the period.  Austin Taylor opened the scoring midway through the first with helpers going to Carter Lewis and Dylan Hall.   Stratford struck again just over a minute later when Zach Dow finished off a nice feed from Calvin McCorkindale.  Defencemen Brett Maguire drew the other assist. The second period opened with the Warriors holding a 2-1 lead.  After St Thomas tied the game, Dow notched his second of the game midway through the period on a feed from the corner by Hayden Arms. Everett Hawkins put the Warriors up by two with Lewis and defencemen Charlie Rankin assisting. The Scotiabank Peewees then traded goals with St Thomas in the third. Brett Maguire, on a shot from the point, sealed the win. Dow and McCorkindale assisted. Liam McCann posted another strong game in net, especially in the third when St Thomas had sustained pressure. The result was a 5-3 final and a well deserved two points.

The Warriors return home to the Allman on Wednesday night to take on the London Nationals.
