To cap off a busy Christmas break the Stratford Hockey Training Above Novice Tier 3 Warriors played a league game on Sunday night at the Allman. The boys decided to end their break on a big win shutting out the Oakridge Aeros 7-0!
Aidan Hill got the start in net and he was all business from the get go! Colin Schultz opened the scoring assisted by Nolan Miller. The Aeros found themselves on a breakaway late in the first but Hill stoned their sniper with a glove save! Cody Bach walked in and found the net in the second, assisted by Dawson White. In the third period Aaron Green and Austin Musselman kept the play in the Aeros end and the Stratford snipers, Nolan Miller and Colin Slattery went to town. Miller nabbed two goals, with one assisted by Grady Murphy. Slattery scored on a wrap around, breakaway and a face off win to walk away with the hattrick! With the dying minutes of the game the Aeros were looking for a shorthanded goal but Hill was having no part of that. He kept them off the board and sent them back to the bus empty handed.
