Slattery Nets Back to Back Hattricks!
The Stratford Hockey Training Above Novice Tier 3 Warriors faced off against the London Hawks 3B on Saturday and came away with the victory!

With Brenden Sippel and Aidan Hill sharing the duties in net they had their work cut out for them.  Early in the game the Warriors found themselves on the penalty kill and Colin Slattery nabbed a shorthanded five hole goal. The Hawks answered back quickly to tie the game 1-1. A wrist shot from Aaron Green to start the second gave Stratford a brief lead but the Hawks stole a power play goal to tie the game 2-2. The Hawks then took the lead with a breakaway goal mid-way through the second. With Stratford on the power play to start the third, Carter Petrie scored the equalizer. The Hawks continued to push hard, but Hill had numerous saves to keep the Hawks off the board. Grady Murphy worked hard in the second half to take away scoring opportunities and frustrate their offense. With Stratford firing away, Slattery found the back of the net to give Stratford a 4-3 lead. The final minutes of play saw the Hawks trying hard to clear the puck, but Slattery grabbed another goal for the hattrick and make it 5-3. Petrie added his second of the game to give the Warriors 6-3 win. Colin Slattery won the praises of his coaches, teammates and fans with hattricks in back to back games!

Next action is Sunday January 11 @ 1:00 at the Allman.
