Warriors Maintain Third Place in Their Division
On Saturday the Hockey Training Above Novice Tier 3 Warriors made the return trip to London to face off against the first place Bandits.

The two teams went toe to toe for most of the first period, but some tough penalties throughout the second and third period gave a relentless Bandit team the opportunities they needed. Stratford's lone goal came from Colin Schultz late in the second period. The Warriors worked hard to hold off their snipers but in the end the Warriors lost 6-1.

The final game of the weekend saw the Hockey Training Above Novice Tier 3 Warriors face off against the second place Sarnia Sting for a Sunday matinee. Sarnia capitalized early on a Warrior penalty to open the game 1-0. With some hard work on the blue line from Liam Ollson and Austin Musselman, Sarnia's scoring chances were limited. Grady Murphy and Blair Stokes dug deep along the boards and interrupted their passes to keep the pace going end to end. Colin Slattery nabbed one for the Warriors to end the first. Once again, Sarnia opened the second period with two quick goals making the game 3-1. Aidan Hill and Brenden Sippel were tested multiple times but held Sarnia to three goals. With three minutes remaining in the game Aaron Green fired one from the point to bring Stratford within one. The final minutes of play saw the Warriors pushing hard for the equalizer but came up just short.

The Warriors head to the Bradford this weekend for some tournament action!
