Warriors Go One and One
The Stratford Hockey Training Above Novice Tier 3 Warriors played their first two playoff games this weekend and came away with a loss and a win!

In the first game of the weekend the team headed to London to take on the unstoppable Bandits.  After the first period of play the two teams were tied 1-1 with Stratford's lone goal coming from Aaron Green.  Despite a solid team effort and constant challenges between the pipes for Brenden Sippel and Aidan Hill, the Bandits skated away with a convincing 9-1 win.

In the second game of the weekend the Warriors faced off against the West London Hawks 3B team at the Allman.  With Aidan Hill in net the Hawks found themselves continually denied as he stoned their snipers over and over.  Once again,  Aaron Green opened the scoring for Stratford with an early goal in the first.  Carter Petrie grabbed a goal on a breakaway to give the Warriors a brief 2-0 lead.  Late in the second the Hawks got on the board but Grady Murphy answered back quickly for the Warriors making it 3-1.  Mid-way through the third Petrie netted his second of the game off the rebound making it 4-1.  The Hawks were able to grab two more goals before Dawson White tipped in the fifth goal of the game off a shot from Green.  The Warriors came away with a 5-3 win.

Next action is Saturday Feb 14th in London.
