Warriors Split This Weekend
The Stratford Hockey Training Above Novice Tier 3 Warriors split this weekend in playoff action.

On Saturday the team travelled to London to take on the North London Nationals.  The Warriors started off strong with an early goal in the first from Cody Bach, assisted by Colin Slattery.  London answered back with one of their own, but it would be their only one as the Warriors were all business after that.  Colin Slattery scored off the rebound from Carter Petrie.  Then Petrie scored on a breakaway to end the second.  Slattery opened the third with another goal making it 4-1, and then Colin Schultz picked up one off the back hand.  Petrie nabbed his second of the game, assisted by Sam Binns to finish the game with a decisive 6-1 score. Brenden Sippel and Aidan Hill shared the win in net.

On Sunday afternoon the Warriors faced off against the West London Hawks 3A team for their second playoff game of the weekend.  Unfortunately, they come away with a 3-2 loss.  London stuck first with two goals by the end of the second.  Late in the third period Stratford finally found their legs with goals from Colin Slattery and Colin Schultz.  Unfortunately it was too little too late, and the boys were forced to take the loss.

Next action is Sat Feb 21 in London.
